WayCon
offers the correct laser sensor for all application areas and
industries with its LAS sensors
With
its LAS sensor series, WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH offers
sensors which can meet any specific requirement: whether extremely
compact or specifically for black surfaces, for long range in small
design, or to be universal and of good value. Thanks to the robust
and compact design, measurements are possible even in the tightest
spaces. The laser sensors are ideally suited for thickness
measurements, quality control and process supervision in machine
construction, automation, in chemical industry or medical technology.
Amongst
other features of the series are the excellent measurement
characteristics: dark objects are measurable, as are objects behind a
transparent sheet, and highly accurate distance measurements are
feasible on various surfaces. As the series includes point lasers as
well as line lasers, measurements on uneven surfaces do not present
any difficulty at all.
The
large measuring range of the series, from 10 mm to 13,000 mm, offers
many application possibilities with convincing accuracy. A very high
resolution of up to 2 µm can be obtained in small measuring ranges,
as well as a linearity constant of up to ±6µm.
The individual parameterisation via the Teach-in function affords the user further flexibility. The robust sensors with protection class IP 67 are to be used in a temperature range between 0°C and 50°C and are protected against reverse polarity and short circuit. The analogue output signals are issued at 4...20 mA and/or 0...10 V.
